Prostaglandin is one of the most common urinary system disorders in older men. Prostaglandin is characterized by the growth of the prostate gland with age, an increase in volume, a suppression of the urinary tract, problems with urination, frequent urination, and uremic urination. Prostaglandin is a male-specific organ located below the bladder and around the urinary tract.

Almost all older men experience varying degrees of prostate growth, with an increased incidence of disease after age 40, and more than half of men over the age of 60 experience growth changes, with a higher incidence of disease at age 80. Although prostate enlargement is a benign disorder, severe symptoms significantly affect sleep and quality of life and can cause complications. The exact cause of prostate enlargement is not entirely clear, and is currently thought to be closely related to age and testicular function.

With age, hormones such as adrenal glands continue to stimulate the prostate tissue and promote its growth; genetic factors, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and lack of movement are also thought to be associated with the disease. Growth occurs mainly in the transition band of the prostate, where the growth tissue squeezes the urethra inward, causing urinary tract obstruction, while the bladder overcomes the resistance to long-term compensatory contraction, causing thickness and functional impairment of the urinary bladder. Typical symptoms of growth of the prostate can be divided into two categories: obstructive symptoms and stimuli.

Symptoms of obstructive symptoms include: urinary waiting, fine urine, shortened urine range, urinary ability, diarrhoea after urination, diarrhoea; urinary symptoms include: urine frequency (especially overnight urine growth), uric acidity, urinary incontinence. Early symptoms are mild and neglected; as the urine increases, the night urine frequency severely affects sleep and the rest of the bladder increases. Long-term blockage can lead to bladder freezes, repeated urinary tract infections, blood urine, dysfunction, or even acute urinary retention (suddenly unable to urinate, urgent urology is required).

Diagnosis of prostate enlargement depends on the history, rectal examination and ancillary examination. Rectal examination can affect the size, texture, preliminary determination of the extent of growth and exclusion of prostate cancer (prostatitis enlargement requires caution); prostate-specific antiprototic PSA tests are used to screen for prostate cancer; regular urine, residual urine, urine flow rate checks assess urine function and blockage; urine ultrasound can measure the size of the prostate and excretory urine residues. The severity of symptoms is often assessed by the International Prostate Symptoms Score (IPSS).

Treatment of prostate enlargement is determined by the severity of the symptoms and whether it affects life. Mildness. Symptoms are not apparent.

Patients can observe waiting, adjust their lifestyle; reduce drinking at night; avoid excessive stimulation; stop smoking; and avoid long-term urination. Symptoms can be treated with medications:α-receptor inhibitor;α-tansoricin;α-smooth muscle; improve urination rapidly;α-pollinase inhibitor;α-pollinase inhibitor;α-pollinase inhibitor;α-pollinase inhibitor;α-pollinase inhibitor;α-pollinase inhibitor; and the two are often used in combination. M-receptor antibodies can alleviate frequent urine rash.

Medicines that treat poor urine retention, recurrent urine retention, combined stones infections or urinary dysfunction can be considered for surgical treatment, currently the mainstream is urethral prostate electrocutaneous surgery (TURP) or laser surgery (urine laser, green laser removal), minor trauma, rapid recovery, effective removal of blockage. Prostate growth cannot be reversed, but should be regulated by treating well-controlled symptoms, preventing complications. Regular treatment, regular checkups, long-term stability of urinary function in most patients, prostate growth itself does not increase the risk of prostate cancer, but PSA screening is still required as prescribed.
